Today I’m drinking a washed Columbian coffee while discussing the “three C’s” of running a digital marketing campaign. The three C’s for marketing are the same C’s you’ll want to remember if you’re throwing a holiday party. You want to be Cool, Considerate, and Complete.

Let’s address the three C’s and what they mean in relation to digital marketing:

  • Cool (or unique): First, you need a good look, message, and feel to initially captivate your audience. You want to stand out, and you can do so using tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, etc. to bring some nice aesthetics to your advertisements, email headers, or evites. You want to look exciting and engaging right off the bat. Even if you don’t have a graphic bone in your body, you can still have cool marketing creatives! Check out Canva – it’s free and has wonderful templates for the less graphically inclined (like me!)

  • Considerate: Second, you need to consider your audience. What do they like? What are they interested in? This is especially important as it pertains to your product or idea that you’re selling. You need to make sure viewers know that their needs are going to be met by you and your product.

  • Complete: Finally, you need to make sure that everything is ready for your consumers. Are the ads and creatives done? Is the retargeting set in place? Has the landing page been launched? It is so important to have a game plan and have it finished before the campaign is launched. Make a roadmap – is your campaign complete or do you have some straggler items that need to be finished before launching?
